Is the Film Industry Going Through a Creative Dry Spell?

by Luiza Irulegui Growing up in the early 2000s watching animated movies from Pixar, DreamWorks, and Walt Disney Studios, was an entirely different experience from the animations made nowadays.  The new stories created for recent generations do not match the rich and enthralling creativity of the older movies such as Shrek, Spirit: Stallion of the Cimarron, Brother Bear, Happy Feet, Lilo and Stitch, and Toy Story. Speaking to the Manchester-based owners, they explained their intention to “bridge the gap between gothic clothing and streetwear.” They explain that the brand was “born from a love of streetwear and heavy music” and their desire for the clothing is to subtly reflect their music tastes and identities “without being too in your face.” Meaning  in the silence  is the brand for people who want to don an alternative style, without delving into the extreme.  The creation of the brand has been a lengthy process, and the first batch of creations have been in the works for over a year. Yet, the first clothing launch is finally here, consisting of 3 pieces to form a foundation for the brand’s identi...
