Kate Moss Oozes Fashion in Return to Role as Creative Director of Diet Coke

by Jagoda Waszkowiak

Kate Moss, the renowned 90s supermodel, has created a buzz as the Creative Director of Diet Coke at Coca-Cola. This collaboration has captured the attention of fashion and beverage enthusiasts alike, signaling a fresh and innovative approach to brand partnerships.

As Creative Director, Kate Moss plays a pivotal role in shaping the Diet Coke brand, contributing to captivating advertising campaigns and designing limited-edition packaging. This all-encompassing involvement reflects the evolving landscape of brand collaborations, where the convergence of fashion and lifestyle is increasingly influential.

Diet Coke has always exuded an effortless coolness, appealing to a diverse range of consumers with its light and refreshing taste. Now, with Kate Moss at the helm as Creative Director, the brand embarks on a nostalgic journey with its Season 2 campaign. This campaign, titled 'Diet Coke by Kate Moss, Love What You Love,' pays homage to the iconic Diet Coke ads of the 90s, capturing Moss's timeless style and charm.

By carefully crafting high-fashion visuals, the campaign aims to retain the alluring appeal of Diet Coke while reaching a broad audience.

Over the years, Kate Moss has undergone personal growth and transformed her perspective on the modeling industry. While she faced criticism for a controversial quote in the past, Moss has distanced herself from it, emphasizing the importance of diversity in terms of body size, color, and height. This inclusive outlook aligns seamlessly with Diet Coke's vision under Moss's creative leadership.

Reflecting on Her Career and Personal Growth: Kate Moss's journey in the fashion industry began at a young age, initially gaining attention for provocative shoots and epitomizing the "heroin chic" aesthetic. However, as Moss has matured and established herself as a leader in the industry, she has prioritized self-care, adopting healthier habits and distancing herself from her partying days.

Health and the Fashion World: While Diet soda may have certain health advantages over regular soda, it's important to note that it may impact blood sugar control and increase the risks of depression, osteoporosis, and tooth decay. Further research is needed to fully understand its effects.

Drawing Parallels with 90s Fashion and Values: In the 1990s, models endorsing beverages like Cindy Crawford for Pepsi and the famous "Got milk?" campaign became commonplace. These campaigns promoted a healthier and, in turn, a slimmer lifestyle. With the resurgence of high-fashion models in food advertisements, reminiscent of the 90s visuals, one wonders if brands are not only revisiting the aesthetic but also the values of that era.

The Future of Diet Coke: Kate Moss's appointment as the Creative Director of Diet Coke at Coca-Cola marks a pivotal moment for both the fashion and beverage industries. Moss's unique perspective and background in mass advertising present an exciting opportunity to captivate consumers in new and innovative ways. The collaboration between Moss and Diet Coke sets the stage for even more captivating campaigns and memorable brand experiences in the future.

by Oana-Maria Moldovan For over two months, there has been an ongoing genocide war in Gaza. To simplify a long and horrific issue, the situation that started, on a larger scale, around one hundred years ago, and has only become amplified since October 7th 2023. Taking place around the Gaza Strip, the West Bank, and Israel–Lebanon border, the armed conflict is between Israel and Hamas-led Palestinian militant groups.  The problem is about “stolen” land. Said land is seen as an important holy part of both religions involved. But really, how holy can we consider a land to be, if people kill other people for it? It’s important to remember that this genocide is about three things: forced occupation, zionism, and religion. It’s also important to remember what ethnic erasure is. This terrible expresion, also known as cultural or ethnic assimilation, refers to the process by which the distinct cultural or ethnic identity of a particular group is gradually diminished or erased, often due to ext

Now What? The Aftermath of the 'Manic Pixie Dream Girl'

by Susan Moore Here is a bit about me: I am an open, excitable, creative AFAB who is also moderately attractive. I have a unique sense of personal style and a personality that on the surface can only be described as “bubbly” and “quirky”. For this reason, dating is a nightmare. To be sure, I do not have a hard time finding dates or potential suitors. The problems arise when said dates spend some time with me and decide that I am a rare specimen, and the connection they feel with me is “unlike anything they have felt before”. Then, things go one of two ways.  Either a) they decide I am too high maintenance and no longer palatable, or  b) they choose to never look further than the surface and are content to date the idea of me rather than the real me. There is something rather interesting, perhaps funny, about my situation. It is in no way unique. I have met so many people who constantly dealt with the same problem. Even funnier still, is the fact that there is a trope that simultaneousl
